Valentine "Tarte Tatin"

To celebrate Valentine this year in style & round of your dinner with a delicious dessert, we created a revised version of the famous "Tarte tatin". In combination with our Vanilla from Madagascar and our Rum Babs - Banana, Vanilla, Ginger, Cinnamon flavor!

Don't forget the heart shapes! 

Ingredients "Tarte tatin" :
- 125g of sugar
- 125g of butter
- 3 table spoons of Rum Babs - Banana, Vanilla, Ginger, Cinnamon
- 1 roll of puff pastry
- 6 apples
- 1 vanilla bean
To make our life a bit easier we decided to opt for a roll of puff pastry. You can if you wish create this puff pastry by yourself as well.
Follow the recipe step by step below.
1 / Wash, peal & cut the apples in quarters (remove the seeds)
2 / Add the butter & sugar in a pan
3 / Slowly turn op the heat until caramalised
4 / Once caramelised, add the apples & vanilla extracted from the bean
5 / Add 3 spoons of our Rum Babs - Banana, Vanilla, Ginger, Cinnamon
6 / Let it simmer for 15 minutes
7 / Add the apples to a pie pann
8 / Roll out the puff pasty on top & poke some holes
9 / Bake for around 20 minutes at 200  C.
10 / Let it rest for 5 minutes before turning around.
11 / Serve if you wish with a scoop of vanilla ice cream
